Postal Boxes

Post Office Boxes - P.O. Boxes (or Private postal boxes) are available to customers of the ERITREAN POSTAL SERVICE for rent at specified service centres throughout the country.

* A person who wants to rent a P.O. Box can request for it by submitting an application to the nearest Post Office specifying the

• purpose of use (as either individual, business, government or organization);
• period of use (as either 3 months, 6 months or a year); and
• box type (as either small, medium or large).

* Letter post items and advises of delivery for registered and parcel items are sorted into the private box. The renter of a box or his official representative can collect his/her items from the box at their convenience during opening hours of the post office.

Terms of Use

• Payment is effected in advance
• Renewal/extension of agreement is possible
• Unless agreement is renewed or extended, it is considered as terminated
• Renewal/extension is confirmed by payment
• A Post Office Box key is chargeable
• A Post Office Box is usable only for postal purposes
